With all the uncertainty that 2021 brought to the world of theatre, we were delighted to get through the pantomime season without missing one performance due to COVID-19. This was down to our fantastic cast and crew that worked so hard to help keep everyone safe so all able to perform Sleeping Beauty.
We were also SO incredibly overwhelmed by the absolutely amazing support we received from all the audiences, both at Halifax Viaduct theatre and Huddersfield’s Marsden Mechanics Hall. The reactions and recommendations were all incredible and our audience figures were even higher than our previous shows, which tells us that word is spreading about what great family entertainment we offer in the West Yorkshire region.
So many said they loved being so close to the actors, as well as the dancing, singing costumes and of course the jokes. We have now a fantastic following of loyal audience members who have quickly made us part of their family Christmas tradition, and book for the following year without fail.
This year, once again, we seem we are all up against it with financial pressures. Christmas is never an easy time to make any money stretch, and that is why we have once again remained the best priced family ticket in the whole region of Yorkshire. If you have always spent over £100 for a family to see a professional pantomime, (average regular seat of adult OR child is actually £28.50 and even more if you want a seat in the stalls) you might want to think about a change and see a pantomime, from seats much closer than any other theatre and all for under £50 instead.
We know what we are looking to achieve with our Christmas pantomimes, that is why we write them ourselves specifically for our theatres, we cast local professional actors and not c list tv names that have never done pantomime before. We work with local dance schools and other local theatre professionals. That is why we can create wonderful memories for a fraction of the price.
So Thank you all once again for your continued support and we cant wait to see you all again at Marsden this Christmas for our magical production of ALADDIN
