Fiona Egan confirmed in new Cast of Alice in Wonderland

4th June 2024

We are delighted to announce that one of the founder members of Panto Ever After Fiona Egan will be appearing as the final part of the cast of Alice in Wonderland.

Having produced and appeared in every Panto Ever After production, Fiona has received 5 star reviews for her performances and enjoys a huge following from audiences that have watched her over the years.

Fiona has played many fun roles for our shows including the fairy Godmother in Cinderella, The keeper of the ring in Aladdin, as well as encouraging as many loud boos as possible playing the evil Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty and last Christmas, performing  at Barnsley Civic, in its first pantomime for 26 years, playing Baroness Lucretia in Cinderella. .

Fiona studied Theatre Studies and English Literature at Leeds University, and went on to study drama at The Academy in London. Her background is steeped in touring with a lifelong love of Shakespeare, having played Kate in ‘The Taming of the Shrew’, Maria in ‘Twelfth Night’; and Viola, Lady Macbeth, Mistress Ford and Rosalind in tours for Heartbreak Productions.

On television Fiona has made appearances in `Emmerdale’ dressed as various nurses or paramedics, as well as an appearance in the ‘Red Riding’ Trilogy, and ‘Love Lies Bleeding’ for Granada which saw her transported back to the 70’s. One claim to fame is having met Sheffield musician Richard Hawley, when she appeared in his music video Tonight the Streets Are Ours.

Fiona also has many years of experience presenting on live television. Filming this year has meant appearances in adverts for Star pubs, and the Yorkshire Cancer Trust, and a fun advert for Lexus. Voice over work is also another string to her bow, and she recently recorded a voice over for the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust large project.  Fiona also keeps busy co-writing, casting and directing immersive theatrical events, and helps to develop and devise shows at the NCM, Overton, where she can often be found performing and delivering workshops for visitors at the museum.

Fiona is exceptionally excited to be performing multiple characters in this brand new adaption of Alice in Wonderland and can’t wait to meet new people as well as well as some old friends at the brand new venues Alice in Wonderland is showing at this summer.
